Dear Friends,
Just before noon yesterday, I was among those gathered along Capitol Avenue waiting to welcome Jesus and our Marian Route pilgrims to Indianapolis.
Suddenly, I heard someone say, “Jesus is coming!”
Looking up, I saw from a distance Fr. Malachy, CFR, the route chaplain, holding our Eucharistic Lord in the monstrance. People began to fall to their knees as Jesus passed by. From the stoop of St. John the Evangelist Church which became our Perpetual Adoration Chapel today at 9 a.m., we received Benediction—the blessing of Jesus Christ, truly present in the Eucharist. I felt my eyes moisten and a sensation all over my body, as if the power of God was coming upon me.
It was incredible.
Just minutes later, I had the privilege of attending the Mass to welcome our four pilgrimage route teams who had traversed over 6,500 miles to proclaim from coast to coast that Jesus is King: of our country, of our homes, and most of all of our hearts! And to think, tonight tens of thousands of us will gather for tonight’s National Eucharistic Congress Opening Ceremonies in Lucas Oil Stadium for one purpose: to worship and adore our Eucharistic Lord!
I cannot wait to see so many of you over the coming days! And if you won’t be here in person, I know we’ll all be united in spirit.
Don’t miss the excellent live coverage from EWTN and Relevant Radio, and you’ll want to tune in for The Live Morning Show at the NEC! streaming live on our Revival channels every morning at 7:00am ET each day of the Congress. Tanner and I had a blast with Katie Prejean McGrady this morning, and we can’t wait for you to meet our next incredible guest tomorrow.
Most of all, let’s all keep our eyes fixed on Jesus in the Eucharist in these days when the Lord is pouring out incredible graces for each and every one of us, and keep begging him to stir the fan of Revival into flame!
